You can go to this page to get a trial copy of PB 12.6. You will then need to buy a license to unlock your copy. Use the form on the page to get a quote. If you have a valid maintenance contract, you can obtain a license key from the SAP portal.
PowerBuilder 12.6 is a new major version (formerly named PowerBuilder 15). It includes new features (Dockable windows, 64 bits, Odata…) and implies a code migration when upgrading your version. For this reason, you can’t move to PB 12.6 with an existing PB 12.x license. You have to purchase a new one. In the current SAP Price List, there is no longer an “upgrade” option. Let us know the number of licenses you need and the last version of PowerBuilder you purchased, and we will send a customized offer with the best price possible.
First, you need to get a trial copy of PowerBuilder 12.6. After receiving your purchase order, we will register it with SAP. You will then be able go to the SAP portal with your customer ID and download your license key(s). After buying your license(s), it usually takes a few days for SAP to register your purchase and make your key(s) available within the SAP customer portal.
If you have a valid PowerBuilder maintenance contract, you don’t have to purchase anything. You just have to log into the SAP customer portal, and download the licenses. There, you should find the number of keys corresponding to your maintenance contract. To access the SAP portal, you need to know your customer credentials. In case of questions, you can get in touch with the contact that you renewed your maintenance contract with.
Customers under maintenance can find them in the EBF 12.6 SP00 PL03 Localized Runtime (build 4035). Localized runtime files are provided for French, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish. The localized runtime files let you deploy PowerBuilder applications with standard runtime dialog boxes in the local language. They handle language-specific data when the application runs.
