Software Tool & Die Inc (STD) released a new version of their Integrated framework - 2021R2 with new upgrades. This is exclusive to PowerBuilder 2019R2, PowerServer 2020 (Mobile & Web), and InfoMaker 2020.
The development team at STD has given the latest framework a significant enhancement that demonstrates the power of the PowerBuilder 2019 R2 build development environment. This updated framework, when combined with PowerBuilder and/or PowerServer products, enables the PB developers to leverage Agile and DevOps methodologies.
The 2021 R2 framework provides a new GUI “punch” for Native, Web, and Mobile Applications without spending more on add-ons. STD has now released two new versions of the framework in 2021 with more planned ahead.
Some key highlights of the new 2021R2 Integrated Foundation Class library and PowerBuilder 2019 R2 build 2353 versions at work:
- Spell Checking
- Hard Drive Introspection
- Multi-Media Support
- Enhanced Windows Information
The 2021 R2 framework has been tested with MS-Windows 10 O/S (20H2 build 19042.928), PB 2019 R2 MR2353, and the PowerServer 2020 build #2323. Testing inside of PB included Win32 (both P-code & M-code) and Win64 (P-code) deployments. Testing inside of PowerServer Web & Mobile included latest Web Browsers, latest Apple Tablet/Smartphone, and Android Tablet/Smartphone deployments.
Note: Some of the 2021R2 Framework changes were implemented after reviewing the “Audit” recommendations from Visual Expert Code Analyzer. Visual Expert also supports automatic documentation generation for the STD framework.
