PowerFilter, the easy to implement component that gives your application advanced Excel-like Filtering capabilities, announces that version 2.0 is now available for download. This is the first upgrade since version 1.6 was released in January 2011, and incorporates many improvements.
Here is a partial list:
- A Search Bar has been added to the dropdown, which dynamically filters the dropdown list as you type to include only matching items.
- Incrementally add Search results to previous results with the Search Bar.
- Performance has been improved for higher data volumes.
- Code has been improved, and optional parameters have been added to limit the time spent building the dropdown list. Expand/Collapse Date Tree option has been added to fully expand and collapse the branches of a date tree with one click (PB 11.5 and above).
- of_SetBackgroundColor, of_SetFontColor, and of_SetFontName functions have been added to allow you to alter the default appearance of PowerFilter to match your application. of_Set_Post_Filter_Event allows you to identify an event on a parent object to execute after the PowerFilter filter is applied.
- Dropdown placement and sizing has been improved when used with smaller window heights.
- Secondary options list will resize and scroll if needed to fit smaller window heights.
